This question is in regards to the parachute for landing Curiosity. I viewed all the parachute video on this portal (Be a martian) and then thought about the thin atmosphere on Mars. How does the thin atmosphere on Mars affect the length of time the parachute
needs to "work" in order slow down the decent? Would the the parachute need the same amount of time before landing on Earth as on Mars?

Most programs seem to be focused on students, which is great. But are there any programs intended for professionals? Specifically, I would love to see something that physicists, engineers, physicians, etc. could be involved with as a hobby.
Why does the page give me an unexpected error when clicking done on the map mars page or count craters page??
Should NASA have more of a presence in public schools? Would that get kids more excited about science education?
