Nasa or the community should make a visual Mars surface scanner that searches for (odd/) patterns, and let us decide if the pictures need a closer look by Nasa.
Why, for the map room, is the map Mars section necessary? I think that NASA would have the capability to accurately locate and pinpoint the images on Mars more effectively than the human eye.
Does Mars have magnetic poles to aid in surface navigation? If not, then what system is/will be used in mapping and exploration?
Are the activities, such as Mars mapping, crater counting, and tagging mars, just 'fun' or 'game' type activities, or do they really contribute to the body of knowledge in some meaningful way?
